So a name holds value to us in this life - all of the familiarity that we have with life hangs on names ---of people we know, objects we use, the place we live, the face of our salvation is found in a name.
God said when asked by Moses "who should I tell them sent me? God said tell I AM sent you." (paraphrased by me) He was the all in all -the beginning and the end. When Mary became pregnant she was told that the child would be called "Emanuel" meaning God with us.
When I was preparing to name this blog I wanted it to be a reflection of who I am - or as the dictionary would say be known. It is no secret that I am a Christ follower, I have become known affectionately as the flip flop preacher. Why ? Because you will find me frequently with out my shoes on. I not only have them off at home but during worship time at church I will slip my shoes off and stand before Father God with awe -
I join forces with Moses standing on holy ground - surrounded....... by His all inspiring, uplifting presence filling my space, my moment of time - I find I AM and Emanuel together bathing me- I hear my name - spoken to me - I find myself - a barefoot daughter in His kingdom.
I long for more of His kingdom to come - to become a reflection of I AM.
Blessings - Pam
